Milan Round 2

Hey! Sorry I haven't blogged in so long. So last Friday Jess and I took another lovely trip to Milan to figure out my passport situation and within 2 weeks I will be a proud owner of a US PASSPORT!! Yay. It was just a mere 102 Euro (don't lose your passport, it gets expensive) and they are sending it straight here. Yesssss. After we got that all sorted out we got to do the coolest thing. We saw THE LAST SUPPER. Literally the actually real painting by Leonardo da Vinci. It was so amazing. The best thing I have seen since I have been in Italy! Although it is only a 30 minute tour, it is so worth it. You walk through a few rooms and a dehumidifier so that your clothing does not ruin the painting. It has finally been restored and looks incredible! We walked into the room and saw the Last Supper on one side and the Crucifixion on the other side. It was such a beautiful setting. You are absolutely not allowed to take pics in there or they will jump you and ask you to delete them but we were able to take pics of a picture of it. Anyways, it was an incredible sight and one that is highly recommended. Thank goodness we had Rick Steves at our side to guide us.

After getting back to Torino we headed on another USAC field trip to taste a drink that Torino is famous for. It's called a Bicerin and is basically layered with milk, coffee, and intense chocolate. We loved them, however you definitely couldn't drink one of those every day, after that we went and got kebabs at our favorite place downtown! Soo awesome. This weekend we just hung out in town and went out a couple nights. Sunday night the Super Bowl started at midnight so we went to a local pub/bar place and watched it. One thing we didn't realize was that Italy has to pay the US to broadcast the commercials so we didn't get to see any. :( That's okay though because we watched them the next day online. It was really fun and I was happy that Green Bay won. Well it looks like we will maybe stay in Torino this weekend again and maybe do a day trip to Genova or somewhere in Tuscany. Gotta get my wine drinking on haha. In two weekends we are heading to Rome and after that Venice and Verona!! Can't wait for these upcoming adventures. Jessica and my other roomie Kevyn are on their way as we speak to try a pizza kebab so I will make them take me to one of those soon and tell you all about it. I miss flamin' hot Cheetos more than any other American food. Love you guys, ciao!
Friends before a night out!

Um Jess and I thought this would be cute for some reason...

And these would be cute for some reason...

.....

Pic of a pic of The Last Supper, which by the way does not do it justice because it is about a hundred times bigger than this and painted directly on a wall.

The little yellow building on the left is where The Last Supper is located.

We are cool, duh.

I forgot sunglasses :(

Honestly Rick, we would be no where without you.

So glad he could make it.

Right after we saw The Last Supper....Psyched out of our minds.

Shopping center in Milano.

Picture ruin-er Pat over here. These are our Bicerines!

USAC has invaded this poor caffe.

LUV.

Just call us Blair and Serena. XOXO

All 5 roommates finally in a picture together!

We are silly. And are heading to Texas Town.
